Swansea City have obviously won the race for the Chelsea’s striker Tammy Abraham. Newcastle have been reported to be admirers of the young startled. Abraham, who is England U-21 international, has scored 26 goals in 42 appearances, in all competitions for Bristol City last season, to become one of the most wanted experienced found strikers in English football.
The Swans manager Paul Clement, who was Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant at Stamford Bridge and has previously worked with Abraham, managed to work out one-year loan for the striker. Clement has built a strong relationship with the player, whom he promoted to Chelsea’s senior team. Abraham has made 2 substitute appearances for the Blues before moving to Bristol City.
Abraham is currently in Poland with the England’s national team to play at Euro U-21. He is expected to start in a Group A game against the hosts on June 22. England’s U-21 has already drawn 0:0 against Sweden, won 2:1 against Slovakia an is playing against Poland on Thursday. A win for the young English side will put them on top of the group.
“I haven’t spoken with Chelsea yet. I am focusing on this tournament so the discussions will happen after. I’m not too sure. Hopefully my future will be in the Premier League. After this season I need to take myself to the next level. That’s the type of person I am, I always want to do better. I always want to do more. So going into the new season my aim will be to top this one”, said Abraham, speaking to the press in Poland.
