Manchester United are in advanced negotiations with Inter to sign their box-to-box midfielder Ivan Perisic. It is believed that United are about to reach an agreement with the Milano club on the transfer fee.
Inters demands an initial fee of £39.5 million with add ons which would increase the transfer fee to £44 million. The Milano club would be willing to sell the Croatian midfielder as they are to bring Senegal forward Keita Balde from Lazio to San Siro.
Perisic has posted a message on his Instagram profile on Monday with a praying emoji next to a plane taking off. It has been read by the media as a reference to his desire not to travel with the rest of the Inter’s squad to China. He has subsequently deleted the post, however.
Meanwhile, Inter’s sporting director Piero Ausilio has rejected the notions that the club is selling Ivan Perisic to Manchester United. His Man United counterpart Jose Mourinho has told the media he has “no idea” on what is going on with Perisic’s possible transfer.
Sky Sports reported that “Man Utd close to securing fee to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan“. The media sources suggest that Man United are confident that they’ll sign Perisic.
Another Inter player, Stevan Jovetic is subject to interest from Sevilla and it is obvious that the club feels a bit on the pressure working on both possible transfers so Piero Ausilio went to tell Sportitalia that “Jovetic and Perisic are Inter players and, at the moment, they are not going anywhere”.
