Aleksandar Kolarov to play for AS Roma

The new AS Roma defender Aleksandar Kolarov has a reputation for a fighter and a strong left-back. The Italian club signed the Man City defender fora moderate fee reported to be somewhere between £4.5 and £5.25 million.

The Serbian has won two Premier League titles, two League Cups and an FA Cup with Manchester City. Roma needed to bring in a experienced player who still can play at his highest for few seasons. This was the main reason for Roma’s sporting director Monchi to complete his transfer from Man City.

“Aleksandar is a player with vast experience who can immediately contribute to the team. I believe he will help us develop, on and off the pitch”, said Monchi.

“I will give 100 percent and more for Roma. My objective is always the same – to win”, was the Kolarova message to the fans and they should have understood him very well, especially if they saw his presentation video.

Kolarov is famous for being a fighter on the pitch. He was so serious in the presentational video that AS Roma done for him, that his response would most likely make him a fans’ favorite. In the video, a Roma employee is presenting Kolarov with the idea for an announcement video. The video script includes Kolarova to be kidnapped and a run-in with Lewis Hamilton. When asked how does he see the idea and would he approve it uninterested Kolarov simply says “No”, gets up and walks away.
