Luka’s Championship Predictions: Draw at Leeds, Fulham to win?

Championship may just be one of the most unpredictable leagues in the world. For those who are in love with English football this match week brings lots of fun, emotions and results that are difficult to guess, but we’ll give our best to predict an outcome for this, yet another, incredible game week in Championship.

Leeds vs Sheffield United

With both clubs making an incredible run in Championship this season, this will probably be the most interesting and tough game in this gameweek. Leeds are playing at home, but Sheffield United really made an astonished run so far and not loosing this game on Friday will be a good challenge for them.

Draw: 1-1

Sheffield Wednesday vs Barnsley

First game on Saturday will be on Sheffield Wednesday’s. They are taking on Burnsley in hope of ending their bad run. Burnsley really was a tough opponent last season, but this season they don’t have the same quality, and that may just help Sheffield Wednesday to finally get a good result.

Sheffield Wednesday to win: 2-0

Burton vs Ipswich

There is no doubt that Ipswich started this season in best way they could. However, last few games were not that great for them and with Burton being quite an easy opponent, they should aim to win this one in order to continue their surprisingly good run.

Ipswich to win: 0-1

Cardiff vs Millwall

It is never easy playing against Millwall, especially this season since they were a tough opponent to quite a few stronger sides. However, with Cardiff being a second best in the league, it is expected for them to give a good fight and try everything to succeed a win at home on Saturday.

Cardiff to win: 3-1

Fulham vs Bolton

Jokanovic really had a struggle with Fulham this season, but even with all those hard games, they still managed to secure a 10th spot. Bolton on the other side looks like they are not up to the task; they are struggling at a bottom, already looking for a relegation battle. For Fulham, this seems like a perfect chance to gain some easy points and give their best to continue their fight for play-offs.

Fulham to win: 3-0

Norwich vs Derby

Games like this are the reason we love Championship. Two clubs that by any means belong in Premier League are playing each other, telling us that it would certainly be a beautiful game. Norwich is on a good run, and if they win, they are most likely easing their fight for play-offs. But Derby is a quality side, and they are not coming just to let Norwich achieve that.

Draw: 2-2

Preston vs Brentford

Preston looks like they finally found an ambition to fight for a promotion this season. They have a quality squad and they are prepared to fight for their spot in play-offs. However, Brentford is just one of those really hard opponents from which you can never know what to expect.

Preston to win: 2-1

QPR vs Wolves

Now Wolves are a real deal. If any club made it certain that they want to get a straight promotion that would be Wolverhampton. It is never easy playing against QPR, but with their ambition, it is absolutely certain that Wolves are heading there to win.

Wolves to win: 0-1

Reading vs Middlesbrough

Jaap Stam is really struggling with Reading this season, but in last month it seems that Middlesbrough is struggling too. They are yet to get a win this month, and Reading seems like a great chance for that. However, playing against Reading is always tough and this is going to be a really hard game for Middlesbrough.

Middlesbrough to win: 1-2

Sunderland vs Bristol City

Bristol City has made a surprisingly good run so far. And you just can’t say the same thing about Sunderland. For them to be at a bottom of Championship is something that nobody expected. But with the way they are playing, it is just hard to see them getting a good result against Bristol City on Saturday.

Bristol City to win: 0-2

Hull vs Nottingham Forest

Last game on Saturday is Hull playing against Nottingham at home. These are direct opponents, and lots of goals should be expected in this game. However, neither side stand up as someone that is going to win. It would be easier for Hull on count of them playing home, but a draw is most likely an outcome that we’ll see from this game on Saturday.

Draw: 2-2

Birmingham vs Aston Villa

Last game in Championship this gameweek will be played on Sunday when Aston Villa will try to secure a win against Birmingham. It is obvious by now that Birmingham has not enough quality in their squad to win a game like this, and it is certain that with their good run, Aston Villa is coming there for a win.

Aston Villa to win: 0-2
