EFL Championship Predictions: Aston Villa. Wolves and Cardiff to win

Premier League is being played on Saturday, for every man who loves English football there is Championship on Tuesday. Lots of interesting games are going to be played and this might just be the most predictable gameweek so far. But Championship is never easy to predict so we are going to give our best to get most of the results right.

Aston Villa vs Sunderland

Sunderland is still struggling at the bottom, while Aston Villa is in good form. Both teams have a lots of injured players, but Aston Villa is still having a better squad. Lots of goals are to be expected, but Aston Villa has to be a better side in this match.


Aston Villa to win: 3-1

Barnsley vs Cardiff

At a moment, Barnsley is playing as good as they can, but Cardiff is by any means better side. They have better results and they are fighting for a straight promotion. These kinds of games are the ones that they just have to win. Although they are playing away, Cardiff is going to fight for all three points here.

Cardiff to win: 1-2

Brentford vs Burton

It is always hard to predict an outcome of a game that Brentford plays, but with such an easy opponent as Burton, they should give their best to get a win. They lost against Cardiff in their last game and they should try to win this one. Burton is not so bad when they play away from home, but this game is going to be tough for them.

Brentford to win: 3-0

Bristol City vs Preston

Bristol City is still in great form, while Preston hasn’t won seven of their last matches. Bristol City might play better away, but they are still excellent at home, and with Preston having a bad run, Bristol City will try to grab another victory here.

Derby vs QPR

Derby needs a win if they are still trying to compete for a play-offs spot. QPR still hasn’t won a single game away from home this season, but Derby has a lot of players injured. However, their squad is still a better one and it would be surprise if Derby wouldn’t win this one.


Derby to win: 2-1

Millwall vs Hull

Millwall is strong at home, but Hull can be a tough opponent. They had a draw with Ipswich on Saturday and they might just repeat that same outcome against Millwall on Tuesday. Millwall will give their best to grab a win, but it would be a tough challenge for them.


Draw: 1-1

Nottingham Forest vs Norwich

This might be the toughest game that is going to be played on Tuesday. These clubs are direct opponents and both need a win if they want to fight for play-offs. Nottingham Forest is great at home, while Norwich is playing better away. Both clubs has a good squad, but Nottingham Forest is currently in better form and since they are not doing draws, they are going to fight for a win.


Nottingham Forest to win: 2-1

Sheffield United vs Fulham

This should be an easy one for Sheffield United; Fulham is having a bad run, while they are playing magnificent at home. Although Fulham is playing better away, Sheffield United has a better squad and they are still fighting for the first place and straight promotion.

Sheffield United to win: 2-0

Bolton vs Reading

Reading is playing better in last few games, although they lost against Wolves, they gave them a good fight. However, lots of injuries can stop them from winning this one. Bolton is not so good at home, but they might manage not to lose this one.

Draw: 1-1

Ipswich vs Sheffield Wednesday

As these clubs are direct opponents, this looks like a tough game. But Ipswich is amazing at home, while Sheffield Wednesday is quite bad away. Ipswich is in good form, and they need a win to get their play-offs spot back. This should be an easy one for them, since Sheffield Wednesday won only two games away from home so far.

Ipswich to win: 2-1

Middlesbrough vs Birmingham

Middlesbrough lost against Leeds, and they need a win to get back on tracks. Birmingham is a perfect opponent for that. They are struggling to score, and they lost seven of their eight games away from home. It is expected for Middlesbrough to win and Darren Randolph to keep a clean sheet.

Middlesbrough to win: 2-0

Wolves vs Leeds

Although both sides are strong, Leeds is having a hard time finding a win lately. They concede a lot and they are struggling to get back on winning run. With or without their bad form, Wolves are still a better side, and with them playing at home, win for Wolves should be expected.
