This midweek Manchester City could reach 40 points. It is believed that 40 points are enough to survive in the Premier League. When it comes to the Pep Guardiola’s side, it looks that 40 points on 1st of December would result in winning another Premier League title in May.
Brighton & Hove Albion vs Crystal Palace
Palace were very luck last week against Stoke City. They won in the stoppage time and saved their chances to survive in the Premier League. The Eagles now have 8 points and while Stoke have 13. So it is very possible that in 4 weeks the Roy Hodgson man would be out of the relegation zone.
Brighton were very unfortunate to loose against sloppy Manchester United side last week and I think that they will not loose second consecutive game. No one should be surprised if Crystal Palace draw this game. They have experienced players who are more confident now.
Brighton to win: 2:1
Leicester City vs Tottenham Hotspur
I thought that Leicester would win last week at London Stadium, but at the end of the game they were lucky to get away with the draw. Spurs dropped 2 points at home against West From during the weekend and i think that they will be ruthless against the Foxes.
Andy King, Kelechi Iheanacho, Islam Slimani and Shinji Okazaki could step up for Leicester and give Spurs hard time. Toby Alderweireld and Victor Wanyama are out an this makes Tottenham’s defence a bit weaker. Still Spurs should be winning this game, fi they want to progress in the league.
Tottenham to win: 1:2
Watford vs Manchester United
Everyone is prising Marco Silva, who is doing a great job in charge of the Hornets. Watford play good football and are very competitive. On he contrary, it is hard to say the same for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United. They play boring football and despite winning games, this United side is nowhere near what MUFC fans want it to be. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is returning at the best possible time to bring back some fighting spirit to the Mourinho’s starting eleven. It is very interesting whether Mourinho would put Romelu Lukaku on the bench.
I would project a Watford win, but whoever depreciates United and Jose Mourinho ability to win games like this one would make a serious mistake.
Manchester united to win: 1:2
West Bromwich Albion vs Newcastle United
With four loses in the row, it looks like Newcastle United team has a problem, despite the good start of the season. In terms of points The Magpies are still a midd-table side, but they have lost two games at home against Bournemouth and Watford and conceded 4 goals with scoring. It looks bad, isn’t it?
West Brom should be a confident after winning a point at Wembley against Spurs during weekend. Now they need a win and it looks like Newcastle are good opponent for the Baggies. However, Rafa Benitez is capable of organize his Newcastle in way that they’d win a point at The Hawthorns, but as he has said himself “Nobody was saying that it would be easy” to keep the Newcastle in the Premier League.
EFL Championship Midweek Games
Derby County vs Ipswich Town
It looks like that Derby County can win this game and make another step towards the dreamed Premier League promotion. The Rams don’t have any new injuries or issues with their squad following their weekend win at Middlesbrough which saw them returning into the play-off places. Derby have’t won a game on Ipswich Town’s last six visits to Pride Park. I think that it is time is time to win one.
Derby County to win: 2:1
Reading vs Barnsley
This game looks to me very hard to predict as both team could win or loose against any other EFL Championship side, at any time of the season. Reading have too many players – John Swift, Callum Harriott, George Evans, Garath McCleary, Stephen Quinn, Joseph Mendes and Jordan Obita – missing due to injuries. It looks like that Barnsley will be able to win a point at Madejski Stadium.
AFC Bournemouth vs Burnley
Both teams are in a good form, despite Burnley loosing against Arsenal at home during the weekend. This game look to me like a draw.
Arsenal vs Huddersfield Town
We have projected in the beginning of October that the Gunners will be a top 4 side by the end of November and here they are – fourth in the table, just 4 points behind the second placed Manchester United.
Huddersfield are very good side and at some point during the weekend, it looked like they will be the first team this season to beat Manchester City. Now they go to the Emirates to play against a very confident Arsenal team. The Gunners have the ambition to prove all their critics wrong and they can do that only by keep winning in the league. David Wagner’s team will try to disrupt Arsenal’s passing and to close the flanks for the fast Arsenal offensive players, but I don’t think they will get anything on their visit to Emirates.
Arsenal to win: 2:0
Chelsea vs Swansea City
If you are looking for a a really exotic bet this midweek, you can project Swansea as a winner at Stamford Bridge. It should not happen though. Chelsea looked very good against Liverpool, despite that they could have lost on their visit to Anfield. At the same time the Antonio Conte’s men created enough chances to win against Liverpool.
Chelsea look in-form, sharp and it looks like this would be one of the games when they could score a lot of goals.
Chelsea to win: 3:0
Everton vs West Ham United
The out-of-form Toffees shouldn’t be happy with a draw against West Ham at Goodison Park. Everton have a good record at home against the Hammers, but nothing works for them this season. On top of that David Moyes, who is in charge of West Ham know’s Everton game very well.
Manchester City vs Southampton
Will I surprise anyone if I project a Man City win here. No! City are obviously very confident at the moment and they are winning even those games that they would draw or loose last season. I think that the Saints will try to win a point at Etihad, I’ll tip them to do so.
Stoke City vs Liverpool
It is a must win game for Liverpool who continue playing an exciting football and look like a team which is progressing under Jurgen Klopp. However, it is all about winning points about Reds. Klopp has just said that refused to concede the Premier League title to Manchester City but admits it will be hard catch the Pep Guardiola’s side. I guess it is hard when you see that your team plays too good, but at the same time makes mistakes which cost you a lot of points. This is what Jurgen Klopp is experiencing at the moment and I think that he is the only one could could find a solution for Reds. One possible solution is to manage the games a little bit better?
The Liverpool’s visit to Stole is a gem that Klopp must manage if he wants to win it. Stoke have just lost against the bottom placed Crystal Palace and they should be very unhappy with this result. I have a feeling that Liverpool will win at Bet365 Stadium, but if they make mistakes, Stoke will punish them.
Liverpool to win: 1:4
