This Premier League weekend could end with Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea sitting on top with the same amount of points. However, I think that the team who is going to get the best of it is Arsenal, who keep getting points.
Brighton vs West Ham
I’m curious whether the Hammers could extend their Serie of good results at Brighton. It looks like the Manuel Pelegrini’s team found this game and will be a real danger. Brighton are good enough to keep their place in the Premier League, but I don’t see them achieving more than that.
West Ham to win: 1:2
Burnley vs Huddersfield
How the Terriers would get out anything from this game, when they need to play against a solid team who has recovers from the UEFA Europa League failure and started winning game son the Premier League the same way they did last season? I must admit I have no answer to this question. If the Huddersfield Town manager Dave Wagner cannot find an answer, he would better leave. Wagner is a good coach, but he probably doesn’t have the right players who to achieve the important goal to keep The Terriers in the Premier League for another season.
Huddersfield don’t play well and I’m not under illusion that they would beat Burnley at Turf Moor.
Burnley to win: 2:1
Crystal Palace vs Wolverhampton
Palace would be an average team this season. I thought that they would finish in the top ten, as they have experienced player in their squad. However, compared to teams like Wolves, Palace don’t look that good. I don’t think that Eo Hodgson could give anything new to the game and you can see that in the way Eagles play. I don’t say they would not be winning point, but I can say that they would not impress anyone this season. For this reason, I will back Wolves to win, as they play an excellent football and are great team to watch.
Wives to win: 1:2
Leicester vs Everton
A very interesting fixture. Everton is a team who is expected to improve in every aspect under Marco Silva. Leicester City are in search of their new status in the Premier League. It is to establish themselves like a team from top side of the table who is chasing trophies though the cup competitions and is fighting for places in the European competitions.
Claude Puel looks like the right manager for the job and the Leicester squad is good enough to achieve on their goals. It is not going to be easy for the Toffees.
Tottenham Hotspur vs Cardiff City
Spurs need to win this game if they want to stay in the contention for a top for finish. At the same time Cardiff City themselves need point badly I Northern close the gap to the 17 the place Fulham who have 3 more point then them. It is not realistic to expect the Welsh side to get something on their visit to London, however. I think that Spurs will win comfortably.
Tottenham to win: 3:0
Watford vs Bournemouth
I think that the Hornets are the better team this season, especially when they play at home. I’ll tip hem to win another 3 points.
Watford to win: 2:0
Manchester United vs Newcastle
United need to start winning games and the visit of Newcastle, who are currently one of the three teams who sot at the bottom of the table is a good chance to do that. Rafael Benitez leg team have been unlucky on few occasions this season, but the truth is that the Magpies simply don’t have the players Benitez need to achieve anything else than survival in the Premier League.
Manchester United to win: 3:1
Fulham vs Arsenal
Arsenal have been unbeaten in four games and current have 15 point sharing the 4th place with Spurs. It is going to be hard for them to win at the Filham’s ground, but I think they will do that.
Arsenal to win: 1:2
Southampton vs Chelsea
After the game Chelsea drawn against Liverpool the Blues will need to win at St. Mary’s stadium if they want to stay in the fight for the title. However, I have a feeling that the Saint will get a point out of this fixture.
Liverpool vs Manchester City
Liverpool were unconvincing against Napoli and the Italian side was the much better one especially in the second half during the Champions League clash in Naples. Napoli were aggressive and cause a lot of problems to the Liverpool’s defence and midfield. I would not judge on Klopp, but I have had a feeling that he didn’t have a “Plan B” for this game. He has probably wanted to keep his players fresh for the Sunday game against Manchester City, but the German has always said that it doesn’t work like that and his players must try to win each and every game. At the same time Manchester City are also not the same threat as they were last season. So I’ll go for a draw here.
