Leeds United vs Brentford
I think that this will be season when Leeds will get back to the Premier League. They don’t have the best defence or the most scoring strikers in the Championship, but they are ready to win a direct promotion and they will only improve over the course of the season.
Brentford are a quality team, but if they want to get into the playoffs, they needs to start winning on the road. I don’t see this happening this Saturday, however.
Leeds to win 2:1
Birmingham City vs Rotherham United
Birmingham needs to learn how to win games at home if they want to be stable team and to progress in the league. if they don’t, they will be in trouble. Rotherham on the opposite are very poor on their visits and have score only one goal. There is no better opportunity for the Blues to get 3 points.
Birmingham to win: 1:0
Middlesbrough vs Nottingham Forest
Middlesbrough share the top spot the Championship with Leeds United because of their good home form this season. Only Wigan Athletic have won more points at home than them. Forest play good when they travel as they have made 4 draws and lost one away from home. However, they haven’t one so far this season as a visiting side. I don’t see them winning this weekend as well.
Millwall vs Aston Villa
Millwall won the most of their points this season during their home games, but this points aren’t enough to save their place in the Championship. I’m not saying they will get relegated, but I’m sure they will suffer if they don’t start winning on their away games. Aston Villa underperform and are an average side at the moment. In the Championship this means an “unpredictable” side. The draw is probably the most likely result here.
Norwich City vs Stoke City
Stoke City aren’t coming back to the Premier League anytime soon. They will also find the life the the Championship very hard especially during the away fixtures, where they are still about to win.
Norwich have recorded tow home losses against other teams who fight for promotion – West Bromwich and Leeds. They need to win against teams like Stoke, if they want to qualify for the playoffs.
Norwich to win: 2:1
Preston North End vs Wigan Athletic
I know where Preston stand at the moment, but they can improve and they have already got a result at Aston Villa. Wigan are a much better team, but I’ll tip the The Lilywhites to get 3 points.
Preston to win: 1:0
Queens Park Rangers vs Derby County
QPR are one of the team with the less goals scored in the EFL Championship. They aren’t a bad side, but you can not progress in a competitive league like the Championship if your strikers don’t score a lot. Derby’s weakest point is their defence, but they should be OK at Loftus Road.
Derby to win: 1:2
Sheffield United vs Hull City
United are one of the teams who are chasing a direct promotion into the Premier League and I don’t mind them winning one of the new places. The Blades have been one of the best teams in the Championship within the last few season and they deserve to get promoted.
Sheffield United to win: 2:0
Swansea City vs Ipswich Town
Swansea are a bit unconvincing and the reason for that that their strikes have scored only 10 goals in 11 league games. Ipswich are among he bottom clubs are the moment and many are surprised to see them there. I have a feeling that they will get something out of this fixture.
Ipswich to win: 0:1
West Bromwich Albion vs Reading
WBA are a very good team and their manager Darren Moore knows what he is doing. Reading are unconvincing and I expect them to finish in the bottom side of the table, despite that I don’t see them getting relegate to the League One.
Bolton Wanderers vs Blackburn Rovers
Blackburn are the team who has less losses in the league so far this season. Their form of the road isn’t bad and I think that Bolton will need to settle for a draw:
Bristol City vs Sheffield Wednesday
Bristol City need to improve their results at home a little bit and if they do, they will probably be one of the teams who’d go to playoffs. Sheff Wednesday could win or loose in every game, this is how they are at the moment.
Bristol City to win: 2:1
